Of love and of loss—of the Saint in Hell.
Watercolors. (> 12 hr.)
The concept leapt into my mind several days ago, and it has taken me that long to actually finish the piece. Original was 9”x12”, meaning I had to develop an entirely new technique in order to execute the idea, which actually came out just as I’d imagined it.
Blatant blasphemy, I know. Not religious myself, but this holds a lot of meaning for me, unlike most of my pieces. Some say Octavius is their muse, some simply draw or write—for me it’s different. He is as close to a God as I’ve ever had, or likely ever will. However idiotic or stupid it may sound, it is deeply calming and comforting to have something to aspire to.
Please do not use this image anywhere. The concept is something I really like, and I’d hate it to be taken out of my own personal context.
And, yes. That is indeed a tritium halo. (using the incorrect Bhor model of an atom, but it isn’t exactly simple to draw an electron cloud)

I completely understand, Otto is the most relate-able character of Marvel that I ever got into... and I have a hell of a list. And I do worship him for his intellect, perception and personality.
